Around St James' Park and Westminster

23 May 2007

Of all the lovely parks in London, St James' Park is my favourite due to the abundance of flora and fauna and the beautiful lake in the middle. There are also plenty of interesting spots surrounding it, including Buckingham Palace,

Tulips!

3 May 2007

I love bright colours, and hence flowers (especially tulips) are one of my favourite photography subjects.

It was great to be back at Keukenhof again, this time armed with a DSLR instead of a 35mm film camera, even though I was still fairly inexperienced with the DSLR.

More photos of tulips here.

Snow!

8 February 2007

Taken with my new Canon EOS 30D camera.

It snowed heavily that day and I made full use of the opportunity to take some shots at Hyde Park in the freezing condition.

Sydney

13 July 2006

Sydney Opera House is probably the most iconic building in Australia. However, a close look revealed that it is quite old and not as nice as seen from postcards, TV, etc.

Darling harbour is so beautiful at sunset.

Sydney Harbour Bridge, yet another iconic structure in Australia.

Price of War

9 July 2006

This photo is perhaps a good reminder to the sorrows of war. Unfortunately, humanity hasn't seem to learn to avoid wars... perhaps will never will.

Taken in the War Museum in Canberra.
